Tyler Fisher Increases Lead

ETBA member greeted Lake Bob Sandlin dealing again with post spawn conditions for the fifth of twelve club events. Tyler Fisher stole the day 1 weigh-in topping the scales with 15.62 pounds and the day’s Big Bass at 5.86 securing first place for the weekend increasing his lead for the 2012 AOY title. John Brothers followed up at 10.96 taking second. Kyle Gregory increased his posting at the scales on Sunday to finish third with 10.76. Jeff Fisher, Mike Brattlof posted fourth and fifth respectively with 9.68 and 9.20. Day 2 Big Bass honors went to Jeff at 5.18.

Jackie Gordon Tops Northeast Contestants on Amistad

Jackie Gordon came out on top of Texas State Northeast Region Federation Nation contestants to secure a spot on the 2012 Texas Bass Federation Nation State Team set to compete in the Central Regional Championship June 6-8, 2012 on the Atchafalaya Basin, Morgan City, Louisiana. Jackie anchored East Texas Bass Associations Top 6 state team to a runner-up finish on Lake Amistad March 28-30, 2012. Jackie’s feat came as a non-boater proving his ability to adapt to the waters and conditions presented to him during the event. Jackie will be the third ETBA representative on the state team in last four years.

Jackie finished fifth overall coming close to reeling in the state title from the back of the boat. Posting his day one weight at 16.36 Jackie started the event in thirteenth place. Reaching the scales on day two posting of 14.06 Jackie was twenty fifth overall. Saving his best for last on the final day of the three day event Jackie brought 20.34 pounds to the scales vaulting him to his fifth place overall finish helping ETBA members Lance Eitel, Jeff Fisher, John Brothers, Randy Parks and Tyler Fisher to a second place overall finish.

Mr. Gordon is starting on the road to the 2013 Bassmaster Classic needing to top the eleven other Texas State team members to move on to the Federation Nation Championship.
